What Are Canvas Prints?
§ 01A canvas print is a photograph printed onto artist’s canvas and stretched over a wooden frame — wall art with no glass and no surround. Save on Canvas prints yours on museum-grade cotton–polyester canvas with archival pigment ink, hand-stretches it over a 1.5″ kiln-dried pine bar, and seals it under a UV-blocking satin coat.
Everything is printed and finished in Canada, so nothing crosses a border on the way to you — no duty, no brokerage, no customs delay. Delivery is free to all ten provinces and all three territories, most orders leave the studio within one business day, and every canvas carries a lifetime warranty against fading, cracking, warping and peeling.
How sharp does my photo need to be?
Around 100 pixels per inch of finished canvas — a 16×20″ print wants roughly 1600×2000 px. Almost any phone from the last decade clears that, and we check every file by hand before it goes near a printer.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
Yes. Hardware is fitted to the reverse before packing. One fixing carries anything up to 24″ wide; two for larger. No frame, no glass, no mounting kit.
What does delivery cost?
Nothing, anywhere in Canada, with no minimum order. Because we print here, there is no duty or brokerage waiting at the door.
And if it isn’t right?
Tell us. The lifetime warranty covers print and build for as long as you own the canvas; our returns policy covers everything else.

How Our Canvas Prints Are Made
Most canvas printers show you the finished thing. Here is what sits underneath it.
- 01UV-blocking satin coatSprayed over the finished print. Blocks ultraviolet light, repels moisture and dust, and takes the sheen down so the image reads under a window or a lamp without glare.
- 02Archival pigment inkPigment, not dye. The colourant sits in the fibre as solid particles rather than a soluble stain, which is why the print holds its colour instead of drifting warm over a decade.
- 03Cotton–polyester canvasAcid-free, museum grade. Cotton gives the weave its tooth and depth; polyester keeps it dimensionally stable so the surface doesn’t slacken through a dry Canadian winter.
- 041.5″ kiln-dried pineSolid wood, dried before milling so it won’t twist as humidity swings. The depth is the gallery standard — the canvas stands off the wall and needs no surrounding frame.
- 05Stapled reverse, hardware fittedStretched and stapled on the back, never the side, so the edges stay clean from every angle. Hanging hardware goes on before it’s packed.
Canvas Print Sizes & How They Look on a Wall
The commonest regret in canvas printing is ordering too small. Set a size and see it against a three-seat sofa and a person of 5′9″.
24″ × 18″ — the wall above a two-seat sofa or a bed. For a sharp print, upload a file of about 2400 × 1800 px or larger.
Note: the room is drawn to scale — a 12′9″ wall, a 7′ sofa, a 5′9″ figure. Confirm the exact size list and any price steps match your WooCommerce options.

Canvas Printing FAQ
How long does a canvas print take to arrive in Canada?
Save on Canvas prints and stretches most orders within one business day. Delivery then takes roughly 2–3 business days in Ontario, Quebec and the Prairies, 3–5 business days to British Columbia and Atlantic Canada, and up to 7 business days to the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon. Shipping is free on every order, Canada-wide.
What photo resolution do I need for a canvas print?
As a rule of thumb, aim for at least 100 pixels per inch of finished canvas. A 16×20″ canvas prints well from a 1600×2000 pixel file, and a 24×36″ canvas from a 2400×3600 pixel file. Photos from any phone made in the last decade are usually large enough. Our team reviews every uploaded file before printing and will contact you if the resolution is too low.
Will my canvas print fade over time?
No. Every Save on Canvas print is made with archival pigment inks and finished with an exclusive UV-blocking protective satin coating that shields the image from sunlight, moisture and dust. The finish is covered by our lifetime warranty against fading, cracking and peeling.
How thick are your canvas frames?
Our standard gallery wrap is built on a 1.5-inch solid pine stretcher bar, which is the depth used by galleries so the canvas stands proud of the wall without an external frame. A slimmer 0.75-inch depth and a range of floating frames are also available at checkout.
Can I turn several photos into one canvas?
Yes. Our photo collage canvas builder lets you arrange multiple images on a single canvas using dozens of ready-made layouts, including grids, heart shapes, tree shapes and number shapes that hold up to 108 photos.
Is Save on Canvas a Canadian company?
Yes. Save on Canvas is a Canadian canvas printing company. Orders are printed, stretched and packed in Canada and shipped to all ten provinces and three territories, with prices charged in Canadian dollars and no surprise customs or duty charges.
How do I hang a gallery-wrapped canvas?
Every canvas arrives ready to hang with hardware pre-attached to the back of the frame. You only need a single nail or wall hook for canvases up to 24 inches wide, and two fixings spaced evenly for anything larger. No framing, glass or additional mounting is required.
What is your lowest-price guarantee?
If you find the same size and specification of canvas print advertised for less by another Canadian printer, we will match that price. Contact us with a link to the competing product before you order and we will apply the lower price to your order.
